Check the promise above the fold
Compare the advert or search result with the first screen of the destination. Does it describe the same offer? Can a visitor tell who it is for and what action to take? A broad agency homepage may not answer a very specific campaign promise. Use an appropriate page rather than expecting visitors to find the relevant information themselves.

Answer the objections that delay action
Ask the sales team which questions prospects repeatedly raise. These might concern scope, suitability, process or what happens after the form is sent. Add concise answers where they help the decision. Use genuine work and verifiable information as evidence. If you show a concept project, label it clearly rather than presenting it as a client result.

Try the form as a new customer
Complete the journey on a phone, including an intentional input error. Check that fields have labels, errors are understandable and the keyboard suits the expected input. Ask whether every required field is needed at this stage. Removing all qualification questions is not automatically better; the form needs to balance effort with the information required for a useful response.

Look beyond appearance
Check loading, movement during loading, readable text, touch targets and keyboard access. A page that looks good in a screenshot can still be difficult to use. Performance tools can help identify technical issues, but a tool score is not a conversion result. Combine those findings with direct journey checks and real visitor data when available.
Choose the next change deliberately
Write one hypothesis: because visitors encounter a specific barrier, making a defined change should help them complete a useful action. Record the baseline and check lead quality as well as submission volume. Use a controlled test when the traffic and setup support it. Otherwise acknowledge that a before-and-after comparison can also reflect seasonality, campaigns or a different mix of visitors.
